The commanders of the Navy of the Terran Satellite Charter are dedicated to the protection of the systems within Fathoms Reach against the invading Dindrenzi forces. They have their best Terran warships deployed at the front as part of the Terran Storm Fleet, with the assistance of the Terran Allied Fleet, which includes battlegroups of Sorylian and Aquan warships.
The Guardian Class Escort is designed for close support of larger ships, providing much needed Point Defence firepower against Wings and Torpedoes. The Terrans favour Torpedoes as an additional weapon system, and therefore ensure that they limit their vulnerability to such attacks. The Guardian is cheap to produce and considered expendable in its defence of another ship.
The Templar Class Heavy Cruiser is more durable than the Sentinel Class, with a larger crew complement and marine contingent. Like most heavy cruisers it has an improved point defence, and is as fast as most other cruisers within the Terran fleet, allowing them to operate within mixed squadrons without issues over speed and manoeuvrability. The Templar has an enhanced mass driver in the fore arc and radically improved port and starboard batteries. It does not perform as well as a Dindrenzi cruiser in a head on fire fight, but as soon as the Templar manoeuvres to bring its port and/or starboard guns to bear, it gains the advantage.
